ULLOA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL, SFUSD

A new five classroom addition replaced Ulloa’s outdated bungalows. The addition is sited for natural integration with the school’s main building. Built to accommodate the fourth and fifth grade curriculum, the classrooms promote science and outdoor teaching. The unique roof form highlights the building’s rainwater collection system used to water the surrounding plantings.
